About us

AKKA is a highly motivated, success-minded and goal oriented, professional karate organization that is totally committed to the students enrolled in our training curriculums. Established nationally in 1972 by Grand Master Bill Packer, AKKA (American Kenpo Karate Academy) came to the Overland Park/Lenexa area in 1992.

We provide professional instruction in Kenpo Karate, Mixed Martial Arts Training and Competition, as well as Yoga classes, we offer something for everyone! We take pride in our students diversity, and still understand our common goals, responsibilities, and expectations for our community. 

Our History

AKKA has been serving the Kansas City Metro area for almost 40 years. 
Serving the Lenexa/Overland Park area since 1992, we have recently upgraded our facilities to our new 4,400 sq. ft. school!
